Need Sleep !

Okay so , I forgot to mention anything about my lastest struggles with Addison in the previous post so....once again here goes ....lol

I Need Some Sleep ! For the past two months addison has completely changed her sleeping routine , and I have no clue what to do. She now wakes up every 2 hours or so in the night ! I'm up 4-5 times a night and then spending at least a half hour in between to fall back asleep (so pretty much up all night ) At first I thought it was a growth spurt I could ride out , because she only wants to eat when she wakes up, but it hasn't quit yet ...Then I moved on to different things I thought might be bothering her ...I make sure she's not gasy or cold or hungry , i've tried letting her fuss a bit to see if she'd fall back asleep , I thought her teeth might be hurting so i've given her tylenol or camilia before bed to see if that would work . We have a bedtime routine , she gets a few spoonfuls of cereal right before bed but nothing seems to work.I'm starting to wonder if it has anything to do with my breastmilk ...

I know some babies take a long time to sleep through the night but she already was from 1 month to 3-4 months , and i'm not sure what has changed . She has two to three naps in the day , but not for more than an hour.

With the wedding coming up, and the stress that comes along with it . I'm feeling run down.
At this point I really wouldn't mind her even just waking up once in the night for a feeding but 5 times! I know I can't handle it much longer . If you have any insight PLEASE share it !

It actually might be the cereal right before bed. You know what it's like when you go to bed on a really full and heavy stomach sometimes...sometimes you have a hard time sleeping or have indigestion or whatever. Maybe try giving it to her earlier in the evening. Or it could be teeth. My kids always responded better to Ibuprofen for teething pain. You could try that too.

Thanks ! i used ibuprofen for summer when she was teething too , i'm not sure why I didn't think to try some on addison , i'll have to pick some up .I'll also try giving her cereal earlier too ...At this point i'll give anything a try !!!

I agree with Cindy. Try not feeding her right before bed...Breastmilk included! Give her at least half an hour after her last feeding before settling her into bed. If she's too full it'll make her uncomfortable.
Hailey started doing that at about 8 months old. I had to stop feeding her everytime she woke up, and I found that it worked pretty good. Eventually she figured she wasn't going to get to eat just because she was awake, and slept through better. Addison's still pretty young though. Good luck! Hopefully she starts sleeping better!!
Oh, another thing you could try is some backround noise. Maybe some soft music playing in her room? That helps my girls (and Josh ;) sleep better.

No suggestions but you have company! Logan is the same way. At first he slept like an angel at night - it was a joke really, but now I'm getting so frustrated with him waking up. I'm not sure he's hungry but he wants to nurse and falls asleep right away but wakes up a short while later. I didn't want to start solids until 6 months because he's SO BIG but I tried the other day and he DID NOT like it so I'll be waiting another month.
Hopefully it's just a phase and she'll grow out of it. It's hard when you have another one to take care of the next day and a wedding to boot! Good luck and keep me posted!

Or even just a fan...when Cole was small, that used to work well for him!

ok here's an update:
last night i gave her some cereal at about 6 pm then gave her last feeding at 7:30 then put her to bed at 8:30 and she slept right through till 4am , got up to eat then back to sleep till 7 (now that i can handle !) on the other hand Summer was awake all night because it was hot and her eyes were itchy from bug bites ..so i still never slept ....maybe i'm just not supposed to be able to sleep ...haha

oh i'll also mention that i switched mixing her cereal with water to mixing it with breastmilk and i think that may have helped her better digest it also ..
